Fast and flush with your USB port, the Sandisk is a performance plug-and-stay drive.
If you’re in the market for a plug-and-stay USB flash drive, the Sandisk Cruzer Fit should satisfy your desire for lilliputian gadgets. At 21 x 14 x 6mm, it’s possibly the easiest-to-lose USB key we’ve ever come across, but it does, fortunately, come with a tiny loop to allow attachment to a keyring. Even better, the loop is on the gadget, not the cap. Crisis averted!
Despite its diminutive stature, the Sandisk is fit in more ways than one. For starters, there’s the ability to slot neatly into a laptop, with minimal protrusion when plugged in. It also proved fit in performance terms, managing a speedy 32Mbyte/sec read and 14Mbyte/sec write consistently in our disk speed testing. It lacks backup software on disk, though you can access 2GB of online backup storage space, but it does come with an encryption software package (PC only, sorry Mac users) to keep files secure.
It comes in capacities from 4GB to 16GB.
