Extension cord with illuminated switch 1.2m plug-to-socket 2.4m plug-to-switch
The EcoSwitch is one of those products that you look at and face-palm, because it’s just so blindingly obvious. It’s a 1.2-metre extension cord, with an illuminated on/off switch on a separate 2.4-metre branch of cable. That’s it.
Do you turn things like your TV, PC or console off at the wall? I don’t, unless I’m going away for a week or more, because most of my wall sockets are hidden behind heavy pieces of furniture. Apply EcoSwitch, problem solved.
The switch can be screw or adhesive-mounted to any wall, desk or other flat surface. It’s only illuminated (via very low-power, low-brightness green light) when on, reminding you that it’s there. When off, the EcoSwitch itself, and anything connected to it, draw no power at all. Absolutely none. Zero.
If you have power sockets you can’t reach, you need an EcoSwitch. It’s not just the convenience of being able to turn things off to save a little power: it’s the peace-of-mind that if your TV starts emitting sparks, or your PC begins to release the magic smoke that makes it work, there’s a big easy-to-reach switch on the wall you can flick.
