Gamescom trailers, part 1

Gamescom has just started in Germany overnight, and unless you didn't sleep at all, you probably missed all the cool game trailers. Batch one of the most anticipated trailers is here: The Last of Us, Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Killzone: Mercenary, and SimCity.

In this brand new trailer for Naughty Dog's The Last of Us, we get to see some more of the beautiful and terrifying world the game is set in, and learn a crucial new piece of information about the game's protagonist, Joel. It also shows some of the behind-closed-doors content from E3, oooh!

Call of Duty fans, you might want to get your hands on the PS Vita - Black Ops Declassified is a Vita-exclusive title. Sony Computer Entertainment released a gameplay trailer at Gamescom today. Guns, explosions, etc.

At E3 earlier this year, we saw DC Comics stalwarts Superman, Batman, Flash and Solomon Grundy duke it out. At Gamescom, Mortal Kombat makers NetherRealm Studios showed off the newest character to be revealed for the game, Catwoman. Boy, does she have claws.

It's been a couple of years since anything in the popular PlayStation-exclusive Killzone series has been released or revealed. Fortunately - at least for Vita owners - a new Killzone title, Mercenary, is on its way. Looks like you're going to be using touch controls in melee combat, though. Bummer.

Many of you will be crushed by the idea of classic SimCity being more social - especially after the abomination that was the Facebook game - but here's a new trailer for the game, anyway. We're sure you'll be able to play on your own if you want, and we do like the idea of your city influencing a greater economy.
