1. Medieval helpdesk

Technology will always trip up the luddites. This video depicts a "medieval help desk" staffer giving a few pointers to a user on handling a new system. From the Norwegian TV show Øystein & Meg, it's in Norwegian, with quirkily spelled English subtitles.

2. Taking the "call" out of call centre help

Late Night with Conan O'Brien writer Andy Blitz calls the NBC computer support number for a problem with pop-ups and ends up lugging his computer and monitor across the ocean for in-person help from the call centre staffer. It gets really funny when he gets on the headphones and answers a few calls for her. A bit long, but worth it.

3. The Office: Gareth meets help desk tech

This sendup of an arrogant, know-all IT help desk geek is dead-on.

4. Fun with remotes

YouTube description: Ever wondered if your MacBook Pro or iMac remote works on other people's computers? Sure it does. Ever wondered how much fun you could have at a tradeshow? Sure you have...

5. More fun with remotes: Gizmodo messes up CES 2008

This one is much the same as number 4, but worse. there's no going back for these presenters and stands as pranksters from tech blog site Gizmodo nail their displays with a TV-B-GONE remote.

6. Maze scare

There are a heap of these videos on YouTube but this compilation grabs a good range of reactions. Basically, these folk are playing a maze game on the PC and when they get to the end....

7. How annoying can you get?

YouTube description: How long does the startup sound of a powerbook really last? Apparently for the people in this library...a little too long!

8. Lovin' that Dell -- The Dangers of Live TV

YouTube description: Guy calls QVC to say he likes his Dell -- at 2am when he can have "alone" time with it.
WARNING: Mildly off-colour content containing the P word

9. Robots fight

If this is how wars will be fought in the future, everyone is just going to roll around laughing. Some nice moves, though.

10. Snatch Wars

It's not strictly tech, but this is a brilliant mashup of Guy Ritchie's Snatch and Star Wars. Bricktop as Darth Vader. Awesome effort by someone who didn't even get paid to do it.
WARNING: Very bad language. Don't say I didn't tell you.
