Steam Summer Sale Day 6: Which games should you buy?

It's hump day - you're allowed a little retail therapy. We take a look at the best Summer Sale deals of today.

Daily Deals

Limbo - If you haven't yet picked up the dark, spooky arcade sidescroller that is Limbo, now's your chance - and it'll cost you all of US$2.49 (NZ$3.10). It's surprisingly creepy for a game that features a cartoonish little boy, and it's a great little indie title.

Grand Theft Auto IV - If you still don't own Grand Theft Auto IV, or you traded it in some time ago like we did, now's your chance to start again. It's one of Rockstar's best-rated games ever, and you should have time to finish it before Grand Theft Auto V comes out. It's currently US$4.99 (NZ$6.30).

Spec Ops: The Line - If you're looking for a genuinely story-based shooter, Spec Ops: The Line is the best thing on the market. It has some issues with its game mechanics and repetitive gameplay, but given that it's brand new (released 26 June), getting 33% off is not bad at all. Today you can get it for US$33.49 (NZ$42.00).

Don't forget that yesterday's daily deals are still available for the next seven hours or so, and check out our story on those deals to get our recommendations.

Flash sales

Double Fine Bundle - You have about fifty minutes from the posting of this story - at 10:10am NZ time - to buy the Double Fine Bundle, which has hits in it from legendary game designers Ron Gilbert and Tim Schafer. If you like adventure games like the Monkey Island series, buy this now - it has Psychonauts, Stacking, and Costume Quest in it for just US$7.49 (NZ$9.40). Psychonauts on its own is worth that price.
