Siobhan Keogh | Wednesday, November 02 2011 | 6 CommentsApple has announced that the iPhone 4S will go on sale in New Zealand on 11 November.
Pre-orders will begin from this Friday, 4 November.
The 16GB model will retail for $1,049, the 32GB model for $1,199, and the 64GB model for $1,349.
Apple Australia's press release for the announcement also makes mention of Siri - so we may get Apple's 'intelligent voice assistant' after all.
It will feature a dual-core A5 processor - similar to the iPad 2's - and dual-core graphics. The company claims the graphics will be up to seven times faster than in the iPhone 4.
On top of the traditional 16 and 32GB models, there will be a 64GB model, and all will come with an 8MP camera that can record 1080p video.
Apple claims the camera will produce 30% sharper photos and be able to take in 73% more light.
The revamped iPhone 4S will have dual antennas and switch intelligently between them, presumably to prevent call drops caused by the famous iPhone 4 'death grip'.
The iPhone 4S will launch in 14 other countries on the same day, including Hong Kong, South Korea and Portugal.
Despite once being the first country in line for the newest iPhones, New Zealand has been left out of the first two launches of the iPhone 4S.
