Google's twitter account announced the giveaway this morning, providing a website where a selection of apps will be offered each day for five days at the discount price.
For the first day, those apps included games such as Angry Birds Space Premium, Clouds & sheep premium and Symphony of Eternity RPG, as well as Sudoku and popular social drawing game Draw Something.
If you're after something a little more productivity oriented, try OfficeSuite Pro 6 to view and edit office documents on the go, Runtastic Pro for sports tracking and monitoring or Tasks to do list that syncs with Google.
There are 14 games in all on offer today - we'll keep you updated with any new apps added.
