Elizabeth Fish | Thursday, July 19 2012The internet loves cats. The internet is addicted to Facebook. What happens when you combine the two? The Facecats Chrome extension, that's what. If you truly love cats, but at the same time want to keep your social life in check, the add-on is ideal for you.
Once you install and enable Facecats, every time you log into Facebook, you will see pictures of cats instead of photos of your friends acting like fools at that party last weekend. Your profile picture, timeline cover, friends' pictures, wall photos, and albums will be turned into a random feline photo. It even changes images in ads and video thumbnails to kitteh photos. Better still, the cat photos shuffle as you peruse Facebook, so you won't be stuck with the same kitteh photo for too long.
The extension does cause Facebook to load a little more slowly, and it doesn't include Nyan Cat. Facecats also causes alignment issues in some areas, particularly if you manage a page. While this is not necessarily a deal-breaker, it can be a little bit annoying.
Developer Drew.pro says the app is ideal for cat lovers, and judging by the reviews, you will not be disappointed at the selection of cat pictures. Perhaps Debbie the eHarmony dater should consider downloading the extension.
You can download the extension direct from the Chrome Web Store.
