Apple confirms New Zealand gets iPad mini first
The iPad mini goes on sale at retailers on November 2 - the good news is that means New Zealanders will be the first to get their hands on the new Apple gadget.
Zara Baxter | Wednesday, October 31 2012While Apple couldn't tell PC World exactly when pre-orders might ship, an Apple spokesperson this morning was able to tell us that New Zealand retailers will be able to sell iPad minis before anyone else in the world.
Australian retailers - including the Apple stores - are planning to open at 8am to fulfill buyer demand for the iPad mini. We'll be contacting New Zealand retailers to ask their plans, and we'll update as we find out more.
The iPad mini is available for pre-order from the Apple site, but orders currently state that they will ship November 12. If you want to get one early, it may well be a case of lining up at the likes of YooBee, Noel Leeming and Dick Smith.
