With keen punters up before dawn and everything in place (we thought) for the official launch this morning, things suddenly took a strange turn for the iPhone 4 launch.
Stores said they had no phones to sell, Vodafone pulled all iPhone 4 related info from its website, and both Apple and Vodafone refused to say what had happened. Weird.
Now, Vodafone has put pricing info back up here and a big ad banner still takes you to a page saying its all go.
Rumours suggest shipments of the phones had not arrived. Computerworld covered the situation here, but the latest news in the twitterverse is that the launch is on for midday.
We wait with bated breath.
UPDATE: Now it appears that selected retail stores will have iPhones to sell at midday but only to on-account purchasers.
UPDATE: iPhone 4 spotted in some stores. Buyers buy. Apple online store will have it this evening.
